Get ready for a week packed with spooky spectacles: join in the Monster March, drift across the lake in the Witches Paddle, brave the Pumpkin Patch Maze After Dark, and dance the night away at glowing Halloween parties. From pancake breakfasts to potion-making, there’s magic brewing for all ages.

We’re summoning the community to join in helping us pull the festivities together:

• Register for the Monster March parade and be part of the opening night spectacle.

• Submit your spooky short film by October 22 for the Homemade Horror Film Screening.

• Donate Halloween decorations or drop off your broken/torn teddy bears at the Visitor Centre to help bring our frightful festivities to life.

• Visit Pete Murray’s Pumpkin Patch during October to pick that perfect pumpkin for carving and to complete the Corn Maze.

• Enter the Halloweek Colouring Contest, designed by local youth artist Dez Loring. Download the sheet here or pick up a copy at Pete’s Pizza. 

• Throughout October, donate or pick up a children’s Halloween Costume through the Haldane PAC Costume Swap hosted at the Chase Library.

• Add your decorated house or business to the directory that will be published on October 31st in the Sunflower for haunted places to check out!

This is just the beginning!

Our vision is for Chase to become the Shuswap’s ultimate Halloween Haunt, where families, visitors, and Halloween-lovers return year after year.

Dress up in your favourite costume and join the community parade down Shuswap Avenue. Walk, roll, decorate your bike, golf cart, or vehicle, or even put together a group routine. 

Please register to help us with coordinating the line up. Participants are asked to begin assembling at 5:30pm in the PharmaChoice parking lot.

Following the parade, the fun continues with games, food, music, firepits, and family activities in Willson Park.

The Chase Rotary Club will be serving hot dogs, chips, and hot chocolate by donation.

Grab your paddleboard or kayak, dress as a witch, and take to the water for a spooky-fun spectacle on Little Shuswap Lake.

Hosted by Landon Peters of Family Home Learning, this free all ages event is open to everyone to attend and includes great prizes!

Enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast hosted by the volunteers of the Chase Curling Club. Pancakes, sausage, eggs, coffee, and juice served!

Bring your costume and hit the ice for a Halloween-themed family skate with music and treats.

Join the Chase Museum and local historian (and Mayor) David Lepsoe for a guided walk filled with stories and local history. Please bring your own flashlight.

Local filmmakers and content creators share their spooky, funny, and creative short films. Submissions due by October 22.

Decorate Halloween-themed cupcakes with frosting, sprinkles, and plenty of sweet fun.

Enjoy glow-in-the-dark bowling with Halloween music and costumes encouraged.

Get creative and paint your own sugar skull on a pumpkin at this guided evening art session hosted by Merelee Panych.

If you have old teddies to donate, please drop them off at the Visitor Info Centre (400 Shuswap Ave) by October 27.

An afternoon of crafts and treats for kids to celebrate Halloween in costume.

The Adams Lake Fire Deptartment is hosting their annual Halloween fireworks display along the shore of Little Shuswap Lake.

Dance the night away under black lights with glowing costumes, music by SpunLogic, and Halloween cheer.

Send your jack-o’-lantern flying! 🎃 Join us for one of the final Halloweek events and watch pumpkins soar through the sky in this fun community spectacle. Bring a non-perishable food item or cash donation for the Chase Hamper Society, and say farewell to your Halloween pumpkin in smashing style.
